DOVER FOXCROFT — The former Dover-Foxcroft police chief was indicted Thursday by the Piscataquis County Grand Jury
47-year old Ryan Reardon of Dover-Foxcroft was indicted on three counts in connection with a September 2020 incident in which he allegedly choked a woman he was having an affair with.
Reardon was indicted on counts that include aggravated assault, criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon, and domestic violence assault.
Reardon is currently free on $5,000 cash bail, which was set following his arrest in September.
Reardon resigned as police chief in October but did not specify his reasons for leaving. He served as chief for three and a half years.
