SEARSPORT – Searsport residents are gearing up for their annual “Fling Into Fall” event this weekend.
The festivities kick off with a parade at 11 a.m. on Saturday. There will also be a soccer tournament, food, kid’s activities at the public safety building, and more at the Penobscot Marine Museum.
Town officials said this is the 20th year they’ve been holding Fling Into Fall.
“Our community in Searsport’s pretty tight knit and events like this keep us together and gives everyone a chance to see each other and have a good time with each other,” said David Walsh, the town’s recreation director.
The day wraps up with live music and a bonfire. And everything is expected to wrap up at 8 p.m. Saturday.
