BELFAST- For the first annual Ice Festival, there were five different ice sculptures put throughout the downtown for people to look at.
There was even two ice bars and other outdoor activities that people could enjoy during the snowy day.
According to volunteers from Our Town Belfast, the event organizer, the ice festival was held to bring more attention to the city’s downtown.
“To bring people into town, help the businesses have something to do during the pandemic, I think that’s why it’s so successful on such a nasty day,” said Debbie Murphy, a volunteer for Our Town Belfast.
