BUCKSPORT — Firefighters responded to a structure fire at the Knoxview Apartments complex Wednesday night.
Officials said around 7 p.m., they received calls about a fire and upon their arrival, they had to knock it down fast before it spread throughout the complex.
“Upon arrival, we found that there was one apartment that was a fully involved fire and active. We got a complete knockdown of that fire contained at the one department. We did that with Bucksport Fire Department, the Orland Fire Department, Orrington Fire Department, Dedham Fire Department, and the Ellsworth Fire Department,” said Sean Geagan, Bucksport director of public safety.
The cause of the fire remains unclear.
He added there were no injuries from the fire.
