DOVER-FOXCROFT – The Red Cross is helping a family of three in Dover-Foxcroft, after their home was destroyed by fire Friday afternoon.
According to Dover-Foxcroft Fire Chief Joseph Guyotte, crews were called to a mobile home on Herring Street shortly before 1:00 p.m.
The chief told us one of the residents was home at the time, and had stepped outside when he noticed the fire.
We’re told it started in the kitchen area.
There were no injuries reported, but a dog was killed.
The chief says the home was uninsured, and the Red Cross is helping those affected find a place to stay, as well as helping them find clothing and other necessities.
Guildford and Sangerville firefighters helped Dover-Foxcroft respond.
