STATEWIDE – Emera Maine and Central Maine Power customers will see a change in their bill next year.
Both residential and business customers in the Bangor Hydro District will pay lower rates for their electrical supply.
According to a statement sent out by the public utilities commission, the decrease came about as part of a competitive bidding process for setting standard offer supply prices.
The statement says the anticipated monthly savings in the Bangor area will be $7.45 per month, or just under $90 annually for the typical residential customer.
The typical CMP customer should see a decrease of $9.00 a month.
On an annual average basis, medium businesses will see a 21 percent decrease.
