BANGOR – Eastern Maine Development Corp. is working with different groups on a new economic development model that could impact Maine’s future landscape.
Spencer Meyer, senior conservationist with the Highstead Foundation, said a conference at Husson University on Monday helped attendees make decisions.
“There’s quite a few mapping tools out there. Local conservation organizations that can help identify places that would be more suitable for development and less likely to impact natural resources like clean air and clean water and other habitats as well,” Meyer said.
Monday’s conference was the first in a series on emerging opportunities in Maine.
