STOCKTON SPRINGS — The Harbor was filled with over a hundred people celebrating Stockton Harbor Days on Saturday
The event had sailboat rides, lobster boat rides, a dunk tank, food vendors, and even more.
“Getting people out finally and enjoying the outside and just back together in a safe way. It’s always been important for us for aspects of the community. We’re small and we definitely have a lot of people from outside our community but we welcome that as well,” said Betsy Bradley, a member of the group who organized the event.
She added the Stockton Harbor Sailing Center members held free sailings and kayak rides for everyone that showed up.
Bradley said the community is happy because the event is a great way to draw more people to Stockton Springs which helps out everyone.
“They’re appreciative of it. They do their best to help volunteer. They just look forward to it now every year. And every year it gets a little bit bigger and that’s not our goal for it to be necessarily bigger but just to have more people to enjoy the harbor,” Bradley said.
She said this is the fifth year of the event with organizers looking to add fireworks next year.
