HOLDEN- President Trump’s eldest son Donald Trump Jr. made a stop at Holden’s Maine Military Supply.
Wednesday, hundreds of people gathered to see the son of the man they’re hoping will be reelected America’s president in November.
“The president’s son chose to come here, Holden Maine, to a small business to a fairly young and new owner, I think it’s pretty cool,” Holden Police Chief Chris Greeley said.
In the crowd were people of all ages and Trump Jr. made sure to connect with everyone he could to get a campaign boost for his father.
“Even that one little Maine 1 vote or Maine 2 vote can make a huge difference with what’s going on. So it’s great to be here and more importantly, it’s great to see that kind of enthusiasm I mean that crowd was awesome,” Trump Jr. said.
A topic nationally has been whether the president should nominate someone to fill the vacant Supreme Court seat left by the death of Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
Trump Jr. gave his take on that and on Senator Susan Collins officially stating she would vote no to any nominee proposed before the election, .
“I’m going to go with Barrack Obama, I‘m going to go with Joe Biden in 16′, the difference was that he didn’t control the White House and the senate, we do now and we should do it. The president it’s his job and in many cases people would argue it’s the senate’s duty to confirm that. It happened on his watch, he should fill it,” he said.
He added coming to Holden to spread his father’s message gives him confidence that there will be four more years of a Trump Administration..
“It was just an awesome feeling, it was really cool to see that sort of enthusiasm for my father because they know he’s going to get it done, they know what he’s done for America and that will continue under his watch,” he said.
