MILLINOCKET – A Millinocket man is behind bars after police say he stabbed one person and struck another.
In a press release, Chief Craig Worster said the Millinocket Police Department arrested 18-year-old Hunter Cote and charged him with one count of aggravated assault, and one count of assault.
Chief Worster said the call came in a little after 10:30 p.m. Sunday.
Worster said when officers got to the residence on Prospect Street, they found that a male had been stabbed twice, and that a female had been struck several times around her head, neck, and once in the nose.
Worster said the two people were taken to Millinocket Regional Hospital for treatment of their injuries.
Cote remains behind bars at the Penobscot County jail.
Worster said the investigation is ongoing, and Cote could face additional charges.
