DEXTER – A COVID-19 outbreak has been reported at Northern Light Medical Transport in Dexter.
A statement from Northern Light says five positive COVID-19 cases have been identified among their transport staff in the Dexter area, four of the cases appear to be linked.
The Maine CDC is conducting contact tracing and is working to test all Northern Light Medical Transport staff in that area.
A spokesperson for Northern Light says the outbreak appears to be connected with lunch breaks, and right now there’s no indication that patients were exposed.
The statement said additional Northern Light Medical Transport staff will ensure the Dexter community has access to safe, fast emergency services while testing and tracing is completed.
