BANGOR — Attorneys for convicted murderer Carine Reeves are asking for a new trial.
Reeves, who is from New York, was convicted in October of murdering Sally Shaw.
On Wednesday, a Bangor judge heard arguments from both the defense attorney and the prosecutor in the case and is expected to release a decision on Reeves’ motion within the next several weeks.
Sally Shaw’s body was found in 2017 on the side of Route 193 in Cherryfield with a gunshot wound to her head.
According to a spokesman for the attorney general’s office, no sentencing date has been set for Reeves.
