BANGOR — Changes are coming to two Northern Light Health COVID-19 centers in Bangor.
As of July 1, the vaccination clinic located at 915 Union St. will move within the same building. It will now be in the Northern Light Pharmacy-Westgate.
Hours are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. The office is closed Saturday and Sunday.
Also, the “Swab and Go” testing site near Bangor International Airport will close. The last day of testing will be June 30.
“It really has to do with where we are in the pandemic right now. While the pandemic is not over, we’re in a much better spot than where we were even just a month ago,” said Dr. James Jarvis, the lead physician for COVID incident command at Northern Light Health.
“That has to do with the continued increase in the number of people who are fully vaccinated and the drop off in the number of active cases of COVID-19 that we’re seeing currently,” he said.
However, if you’re experiencing COVID symptoms or have been exposed, Jarvis said to call your Primary Care Physician.
