BANGOR — The Challenger Learning Center of Maine is offering students a chance to get a close-up look at an upcoming landing on Mars.
A rover is scheduled to land on the red planet on Feb. 18.
Students can connect on Zoom from home and get a chance to choose a spot they think is best for the landing.
Kirsten Hibbard said it’s applicable and current for kids.
“They actually get to be mission controllers and help talk about OK where should we land and have a base at the surface of Mars to collect data,” said Hibbard.
Parents or teachers can go to astronaut.org to sign up.
