AUGUSTA — The Maine Center for Disease Control announced Monday 214 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported across the state.
According to the Maine CDC no new deaths related to COVID-19 were reported through Sunday and the death toll since the state started keeping in mid-March last remains at 795.
The CDC also reported the total number of people hospitalized with the virus now stands at 1,899. According to the CDC the total number of people vaccinated against COVID-19 is 1,243,815, while 655,870 of the total have received their first dose and 587,945 have received their final dose.
Maine CDC Director Nirav Shah is scheduled to hold a COVID-19 briefing at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday.
