BUCKSPORT — A Bucksport man is facing charges after he allegedly threatened a woman with a loaded gun.
Bucksport Deputy Police Chief David Winchester said a 25-year-old woman from Stockton Springs was driving on Central Street in Bucksport just after 3:30 p.m. Monday when she saw a car approach her quickly from behind.
The woman told police she noticed a red laser pointed in her car.
She told police when she looked in her rearview mirror she saw the laser was attached to a firearm pointed at her.
Winchester said the woman told officers she tried to duck behind the wheel as she was driving and eventually saw a Bucksport police cruiser coming in the other direction.
She flashed her lights and signaled the officer, who pulled over.
Evan Seekins, 26, of Bucksport was arrested in connection with the incident.
Winchester said they found a loaded firearm with a laser attached and it did not appear he knows the alleged victim.
Seekins is charged with criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon, OUI, and driving to endanger.
Winchester said other charges are pending.
