TRENTON — The SPCA of Hancock County is asking for bottle donations to raise money for the care of pets in its shelter.
According to board member Jamie O‘Keefe, veterinary care is expensive and all the money raised will go directly to the animals’ care.
“We are just asking people, you know, to bag the bottles, tightly bag the bottles, and drop them off,” he said.
They topped more than $30,000 last year and hope to raise even more this year.
He said wine bottles and aluminum cans get more bang for their buck and if folks have any questions about the drive on Saturday, call their SPCA Trenton number.
