BANGOR – A Bangor woman is facing charges almost a year after the death of her baby.
Bangor police Detective Lt. Brent Beaulieu said first responders were called to a home at Holiday Trailer Park for an unresponsive 1-year-old in October of 2018.
Beaulieu said efforts to save the child were unsuccessful and the medical examiner determined the cause of death was from the probable effects of fentanyl.
Kimberly Nelligan, 33, was arrested Tuesday morning and charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
Nelligan was transported to Penobscot County Jail, where she is being held without bail.
