BANGOR — Hundreds attended the national night out event put on by the Bangor Police Department at Second Street Park.
There were food, games, a live DJ, a raffle, and even a bounce house.
Every dollar raised by the event went directly to the biker church charity.
“It’s very very important because we can’t run it on a promise and we can’t run it on prayer even though we believe in prayer with everything we have. But we need this community to stand behind what we’re doing to take care so we can take care of your neighbors here in this city,” said Bill Rae, associate pastor for Biker Church U.S.A
He added the money made from the event will fund their efforts to continue operating out of the Brick Church and keep it open for those needing shelter as we head into the fall and winter.
