Bangor library reopening for browsing soon

Bangor library reopening for browsing soon
0shares

BANGOR — After more than a year of being closed due to the pandemic, the Bangor Public Library is reopening its doors next Monday.

The library will be welcoming the public back inside without the need for a reservation but with limited hours.

Director Ben Treat said they’ve moved more than 150,000 items out the front door since the pandemic began.

“We’ve been really busy checking books out but that’s not all that libraries are, so we will be really happy to have people  coming in the front door without appointments 10 to noon and 2 to 4 Monday through Saturday,” he said.

Treat said once they’re sure it’s a safe step for reopening, they’ll look to bring back more community programs.

For more information, visit bangorpubliclibrary.org.
