BANGOR — A Bangor High School teacher shared his testimony of the day the twin towers fell 20 years ago.
Saturday, September 11 on the Bangor Waterfront Commander Sergeant Major John Brooks and Bangor High School teacher Jefferey Sanders shared their story of that fateful day. Service members and community members were there to honor and remember.
“We have lost something and I hope throughout the nation today we begin to start reaffirming our love for this country, for God, and the goodness that we want,” said a community member, Everett Goodwin.
Some said the speakers evoked an emotion that made them remember that day vividly. To complete the ceremony the JROTC raised the American flag, laid a wreath, and fired a 21 gun salute.
