BANGOR – The Bangor Humane Society is expressing its need for donations on this Giving Tuesday.
Director of Development Kathryn Ravenscraft said most people think of adopting pets when dealing with the humane society, but there is also a lot that happens behind the scenes.
She said animals sometimes need to be held for a while before they can be adopted, so as a part of Giving Tuesday, the Bangor Humane Society is telling these stories.
“I think that we’re all really quick to share stories about things that we’ve purchased and great deals that we’ve gotten, and it’s really nice to see charitable giving given a moment in the sun and for people to have the opportunity to raise money for things that they care about,” Ravenscraft said.
Ravenscraft said donations can be made on bangorhumane.org or brought to the shelter.
