AUBURN — A man was shot during an after party in Auburn early Saturday morning.
According to a press release from the Auburn Police Department, reports of several gunshots in the area of 409 Court Street came in at about 2 a.m.
Police say 25-year-old Jamual Douglas was found to be suffering from a single gunshot wound to his leg.
The Auburn Fire Department assisted Douglas on scene and brought him to Central Maine Medical Center where he remains in stable condition, according to the release.
Police say a big group had recently arrived at the Court Street apartment after leaving a Lewiston club.
The release said witnesses told police several shots were fired from an unknown car in the direction of the group standing outside the apartment building.
The incident remains under investigation and Auburn police are asking anyone with information to contact them.
