BANGOR — October’s month-long art celebration will be back in person this year.
The only kick right now is the committee running Artober needs help and permission from the Bangor city councilors to raise $15,000 to fund it.
“This money would be used to get a public relations firm, an agency, a person to lead the campaign this year. Making sure that we shine a very strong spotlight on the arts,” Artober Committee Chair Barbara McDade said.
In the month-long celebration of the arts, each week of October will be dedicated to visual arts, music, the art of the word and literature, and performing arts.
All before culminating on Oct 31 with a city citywide Halloween event.
City councilors will give their decision in the next city council meeting.
