BANGOR — The Anah Shriners sold out of wreaths at their drive-thru wreath event on Saturday.
That means they raised around $5,600 to go toward Shriners Hospital in Massachusetts.
They did this event in lieu of their Festival of Trees.
“We haven’t been able to do our traditional parades and events to raise the money, so we had to think outside of the box, so we thought of a drive-thru wreath sale to raise the money and that sort of thing,” said Dave Gulya, chairman of public relations at Anah Shrine.
In addition to the wreath sale, Santa and Mrs. Claus were there to greet people at a safe distance.
While that was free, many people did donate while stopping by.
