BANGOR — Humor, heart and a live Zoom performance — Penobscot Theatre is bringing a unique show to town
The theater has been putting on shows for people to watch online since September but the story “Flyin’ Solo” is different. It is about the lives of the actors.
Unlike most productions, where actors receive scripts, actor Jeri Misler and others wrote it themselves.
“Each week we were brainstorming and writing. We had to come up with a writing piece based on a topic every week that we would share and eventually it involved into finalizing our story and these are all our real stories,” she said.
Artistic Director Bari Newport said the actors are from places like Los Angeles, California and some faces are familiar to the Bangor area.
Faith and hope are the main themes of “Flyin’ Solo” and the show goes live Thursday night
People can subscribe to Penobscot Theatre for all access to three shows or purchase one ticket at their website on penobscottheatre.org.
