PARKMAN – An arrest warrant being issued for 38 year old Robert Burton.
Police believe he killed 37 year old Stephanie Gebo at her Kulas Road residence in Parkman on Friday.
They’ve been searching the area for him ever since. State Police along with several other agencies using the Parkman Town Office as their operation headquarters. Spending the day following several tips and leads.
Maine State Police Lieutenant Troy Gardner with the work that’s going on. “Based on the work we did today we believe he was in the area last night. Shortly after the vehicle was stolen, that’s the information we had today. He’s very familiar with the area. He’s gone off the grid before and stayed in the woods isolated for several days. This behavior is consistent with wha’t he’s done in the past.”
Back in 2002 Burton evaded arrest for 12 days after he held a woman at gunpoint, threatening to kill her and himself before she convinced him to leave her house.
Police are warning that he is considered armed and dangerous and asks anyone who see’s Burton to immediately call 911.
