BANGOR – The woman accused of stabbing two people at the Bangor Mall this week appeared before a judge today.
34 year old Elizabeth Ellis of Virginia is facing two counts of elevated aggravated assault.
Police say she stabbed the two victims from behind in random attacks and then fled to Farmington where she turned herself in.
Fortunately both victims survived and were treated at a local hospital and released.
The judge set bail at $35 thousand dollars cash and also ordered the victim to stay away from the Bangor Mall.
We’ve also learned that Ellis moved to Maine several months ago and had been living in Carabassett Valley.
Why she was in Bangor and what prompted the alleged stabbings is still unclear.
