SEARSMONT – A man from Morrill is facing a number of charges following an alleged robbery last night.
Waldo County Sheriff’s deputies say it was just after 8 o’clock when they were called by a 17 year old male who had been fishing in Searsmont.
He told them that a man he used to work with pulled up behind his vehicle and then approached him,
Police say that man was 24 year old Benjamin Young.
The victim says Young demanded $5 dollars he believed was owed to him and also pulled out a knife while making the demand.
Deputies eventually caught up with Young and arrested him following an interview.
He’s now charged with robbery, criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon and violating the conditions of his release.
His bail is set at $5 thousand dollars cash.
