Game officials have shared some photos of an eagle rescue that took place in Millinocket.
Two bald eagles were apparently locked in a battle over territory and ended up crashing onto Mark Kowalski’s front lawn.
Warden Andy Glidden and his daughter Mikayla responded.
She’s a wildlife student at UMaine.
They say it took about a half hour to pry the two eagles apart.
From there they were taken to Avian Haven to be checked out and after it was determined they suffered superficial wounds the eagles were released back into the wild the following morning.
Of course, one was set free further up the Golden Road so the two animals wouldn’t continue their feud.
