BANGOR – Life-Flight of Maine is expanding operations and adding more jobs in Bangor.
The city council approving an agreement for LifeFlight to lease 17,000 square feet of hangar space, and 7-,000 square feet of office space at Bangor international airport.
The goal is to free up the group’s two helicopters from certain duties and to provide high-speed transport for the critically ill and injured. At least eight additional pilots, aviation mechanics and technician jobs, will be added.
The new twin-engine, fixed-wing aircraft will be based in Bangor.
