BANGOR – Those in Bangor held a yard sale this weekend – with the hopes of sending a mother to find her daughter’s remains.
Danielle Brooks Bertolini moved from Maine to California four years ago. In February of last year she went missing.
Her mother Billie Jo is a volunteer for the Down East Emergency Institute and is familiar with the search and rescue protocol. Although she believes her daughter is dead, she hopes to bring her search and rescue dog to make the most personal search of her life.
“Everything that we profit from the sale will be going to the search and rescue to help purchase plane tickets and motel rooms and the food that it costs to travel.” Billie Jo Dick
They are hoping to raise 15-hundred dollars from the two day yard and bake sale.
