SURRY – Not guilty. That’s the verdict today in the trial of a Surry man who was charged with manslaughter.
23 year old Steven Moon was cleared of any wrongdoing in the 2011 crash that killed 27 year old Caleb Foster of Stonington.
Police said Moon was intoxicated when he rolled the vehicle.
But the defense claimed it was someone else behind the wheel and Moon’s sister also testified that she didn’t remember who was driving.
That was apparently enough to create reasonable doubt.
