BUCKSPORT – Parents with little ones still at home can take advantage of a wealth of resources this weekend.
On Saturday, the Bucksport Bay Healthy Communities Early Childhood Network will host its 18th annual children’s school readiness fair. The free event will be held at the Jewett School Community Center on Bridge Street, and is open to the public.
Children can enjoy a morning of fun, games, and face painting while their parents learn about how to prepare their child for school.
“We really want to help young families learn how to prepare their children for kindergarten so this is a school readiness fair to help kids get ready to thrive when they reach kindergarten.” James Bradney, Health Planning Director
The Bucksport Fire and Police Departments will also be on hand.
The fair runs from 9 to 11:30 Saturday morning.
