BANGOR – Local residents are becoming citizen scientists! Helping with a nationwide effort to monitor frog populations.
Frog watch USA, Bangor Land Trust and Hirundo Wildlife Refuge are training volunteers to identify local frog species. Organizers say there aren’t many scientists in the US, so volunteers are vital to get a large pool of frog data. And they say it’s really easy to do.
“It’s a really great way to get involved and write down what you hear.” Katelin CRAVEN PROGRAMS COMMITTEE CHAIR, BANGOR LAND TRUST/ VO If you’d like to help out with the survey visit Bangor land trust dot org.
