BANGOR – Spring cleaning is well underway with people hitting downtown Bangor early Saturday morning for a little sprucing up.
It’s become an annual activity where residents can chip in to make the city look and feel a little bit cleaner. It’s a day of picking up trash, any debris from old man winter and raking leaves. And after this winter it’s especially necessary. It’s all in an effort to keep the city beautiful.
We are doing this to help parks and recreation in the city. Really make the area in downtown look wonderful and also prepare it for all the plantings that are going to happen downtown.
Patches along the Kenduskeag stream were cleaned up along with the parkway and other various spots downtown.
