BANGOR – What appeared to be a routine traffic stop turned into a drug bust in Bangor.
33-year-old Frederick Day and 31-year-old Brianna Graves, of Hermon, 39 year old Eric Judkins of Dedham, along with 45 year old Daniel Reed, 32 year old Sara Kearns and 30 year old Sheena Rolfe all of Bangor now face a variety of charges.
Police say it all started around one o’clock Sunday morning when the driver of a suburban ran over a concrete traffic island on Hammond Street and nearly struck a police cruiser that was on patrol.
The officer stopped the vehicle and discovered a large quantity of illegal drugs inside. He also learned that 6 of the 7 people inside had suspended or revoked licenses and four of them were out on bail for previous violations.
The drugs included heroin, bath salts, crack cocaine and marijuana. Needles, scales and other drug paraphernalia were also found.
All are at the Penobscot County Jail tonight.
