BANGOR – Nearly $10,000 was raised to help continue the legacy of a Bangor resident.
Erin’s run, is held each year in honor of Bangor native, Erin Wooley. She passed away from cancer and was known for helping to improve the lives of others.
Money raised during the run, helps to benefit the UMaine swim and dive team as well as Spruce Run Woman Care Alliance – a domestic violence organization that Erin worked for after graduating from UMaine.
Nearly 250 people took part in this year’s event.
A memorial scholarship is also being established in her honor at Bangor high school.
