uSTATEWIDE – Crews were busy throughout the day restoring power to homes and businesses in Northern and Eastern Maine.
A beaver is blamed for knocking out power to more than a thousand of Emera Maine customers in Southern Aroostook County.
Emera officials say the beaver felled a tree which knocked down a transmission line in a very rural area Monday night.
Crews working overnight and into this afternoon restoring electricity to that area.
High winds also had crews scrambling to restore power in Hancock, Washington and Penobscot Counties.
