ORONO – The university of Maine campus filled with people walking and running for a Healthy High.
April 20th, or 4/20 is a date and time that has become synonymous with smoking marijuana. To turn that around, UMaine held its Healthy High run and walk. This is the 8th year for the race which started at 4:20 Monday afternoon.
Participants starting at the New Balance Rec Center before heading out on their trek. More than 200 people took part in this years event.
The proceeds will benefit the UMaine bod-well center for service and volunteerism, and the Black Bear exchange food pantry.
