BANGOR – The generosity of a few of Bangor’s most well known residents could go a long way to saving lives down the road.
The Stephen and Tabitha King Foundation gave 20,000 dollars to the Bangor Fire Department. That gift, officially accepted last night, during Bangor’s city council meeting. They plan to buy a washer and dryer to be used to get toxins off firefighters gear.
The department will now be able to wash 7 sets of gear at once. Before this they could only do one at a time.
