We know that when medical students are educated and trained with nursing students, with pharmacy students, with dentists and others, that they know better how to work with people in other medical professions, and what we know is that when that happens, we as patients are much safer.
The grant also aims to increase the number of medical professionals in rural Maine, which is where the program will take place.
