BANGOR – The 43.9 million dollar plan approved last night would create a tax increase if it makes it through the full approval process.
According to superintendent Betsy Webb, it would result in a 15 cent raise in the mill rate, although that’s subject to change.
A lot of it depends on Governor LePages budget and how much state aid will go to the various school departments.
A first reading of the budget before the city council will take place May 11th. A public vote on the issue will take place June 9th.
