WATERVILLE – A Waterville electrician is facing hefty fines for working without a license and committing several code violations.
Craig Shores license was suspended after the board found he had committed gross negligence and incompetence during an electrical installation at a Belgrade residence. The next year his license expired, but the board found he continued to practice.
Officials have fined shores more than 8,000 dollars and are also seeking a 65,000 dollar fine that was never paid. The board says it is concerned about potentially dangerous electrical installations completed by Shores.
Officials are encouraging anyone who may have had recent work completed by him, to contact the board. State electrical inspectors will go to any home or business that may be effected.
