WASHINGTON COUNTY – On Thursday, Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies and State drug agents searched the Maple Road home of 46-year-old Robert Clark Woodward of Columbia.
Officials seized 10 grams of heroin, crack cocaine and other evidence of drug trafficking. The investigation began following an undercover drug buy at Woodward’s home. He’s now charged with class b trafficking in heroin.
Also charged with possession of heroin are; 33-year-old Matthew Brooks and 28-year-old Owen Fickett both of Cherryfield and 54-year-old Harold Tenney of Columbia. State Police are also working the case and say more arrests are likely.
Sheriff Barry Curtis says the influx of drugs into Washington County is his top priority. Former Sheriff Donnie Smith who lost to Curtis in a November election had refused to work with the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency.
