A woman from Litchfield is facing her fourth oui charge following a crash last week.
State Police say 33 year old Kristy Cookson was intoxicated when she crashed a van on Route 132 last week while her four year old son was a passenger.
The car went off the road into a clump of trees in Wales and rescuers had to use a chainsaw to cut them free.
The son received minor injuries.
Police say Cookson was brought to the hospital with a serious ankle injury, but was accidentally discharged over the weekend.
She was arrested today and brought to jail.
She’s charged with aggravated oui, operating with a revoked license and violating the conditions of her release.
State Police say Cookson has 13 active drivers license suspensions and drugs and alcohol were factors in the latest crash.
She was also shot by Lewiston police in 2009 after she tried to run an officer over during a chase through the city.
