For the fifth time this year, the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency is responding to a suspected meth lab.
This one is inside an apartment house at 153 State St. in Ellsworth. The lab was discovered by Ellsworth Police last night and the occupants of the apartment house were evacuated and the building was secured.
The MDEA lab team has responded to the site and with protective suits and breathing gear, will search the apartment and remove any items suspected of being involved with the making of methamphetamine.
The occupants of the apartment have been questioned, but no one has been arrested at this point. This is the second time this month that a meth lab has been discovered in Hancock County. A lab was dismantled inside a Bar Harbor home two weeks ago.
