A Kennebec County Deputy is lucky to be alive following a shooting Wednesday evening in Windsor.
Sergeant Galen Estes received just a burn on his hand after 31-year-old Allison Trask allegedly fired a gun at him as he was trying to arrest her.
Trask had locked herself in a bedroom at her parents’ home and they became concerned when they heard what sounded like a gunshot from inside the room.
Estes tried to force himself inside the room and Trask pointed the gun at him.
Estes was not seriously injured and he was able to take Trask into custody.
She has been charged with possession of a firearm by a felon and reckless conduct with a firearm.
She remains at the Kennebec County Jail on $4000 bail.
