Bangor -The Maine Army National Guard feels the safe is a little safer thanks to a few new toys unveiled Thursday morning.
Out with the old and in with the new!
Two brand new U-H 72 Lakota helicopters have been added to the guard’s fleet.
each coming with a $6.5M dollar price tag.. they are equipped with state of the art communication technology and an on board camera that will stream live to emergency responders.
The guard has been training on the pair of choppers since February…
The helicopter they are replacing will be turned over to the Maine Forestry Service.
