BANGOR – The three people involved in a standoff in Orrington over the weekend appeared in court Monday afternoon.
Steven Nason, 33, and Rochelle Gleason, 37, both of Orrington, as well as 33-year-old Jason Ashe of Glenburn are facing charges, including robbery, assault and theft.
Those charges stem from an incident that led to a nearly 12 hours-long standoff at a home on Johnson Mill Road in Orrington Saturday.
Authorities say a woman reported being attacked and robbed by the three suspects around 5:00 in the morning.
According to Assistant District Attorney Brendan Trainor, Nason and Ashe grabbed the victim and held her down as Gleason began punching her.
“The officers noted that the victim had a tooth knocked out, lacerations, bruising to her face, consistent with the fight that she described, or being attacked, and that her purse was rummaged through and that a speaker was missing,” said Asst. District Attorney Brendan Trainor. “She wasn’t sure what else but could tell the speaker was missing.”
The victim then left the home and called police.
The three suspects refused to leave the residence until a tactical team was eventually able to take them into custody around 7:00 in the evening.
According to Trainor, drugs and alcohol were involved.
